Master Bathroom Update

I’m thrilled to finally reveal our master bathroom makeover results!!!

Going into this project, I wanted to DIY everything possible because it give me so much joy to do so. This girl loves a good challenge.

I was able to do just that with the exception of the hardware and fixtures gifted to me by Pfister.

I reached out to Pfister for a collaboration on this project after falling madly in love with the sleek and modern design of their Contempra series.

This wasn’t my first experience using Pfister. At the beginning of this year, we updated the faucet in our kitchen and went with their brushed gold Stellen faucet. Check it out!!!

Performance is everything when it come to plumbing fixtures but I am also a sucker for style and that’s why I love everything about my Pfister faucet!

Now back to the bathroom:

I decided to start small by transforming the tile work using nothing but tile grout renew I found through Home Depot.

Painting the grout from white to black majorly updated this space and, the best part? It only cost me $13 and a few hours of work!!!

From there, my next area of focus went to the chrome shower frame. I had always wanted a black shower frame. For the longest time, I thought I’d have to save up an enormous amount of money before I could even think about getting a new shower surround.

I decided to do some research and see if it was possible to paint the frame myself. Come to find out, spray painting shower frames is a thing so I had to give it a go.

Little did I know how much prep work was involved but, gosh, it turned out amazing. By the way, it has been holding up great so far!

Check out my Instagram highlight covering all the details on the shower frame makeover here.

Once the shower frame was finished, I gave the walls a fresh coat of paint. Doing so made the biggest difference in giving this room a fresh feel.

The gray vanity wasn’t doing it for me so I gave it a pop of color. I decided to go crazy and paint it “Barberry” by Benjamin Moore. No regrets!!!

I also wanted a new look for the cabinet doors so I made and attached new panels to cover the previous design. The knobs were a bit of a splurge for me but I am obsessed with the style it contributes to this vanity.

Next, I swapped out the mirror, lights, and faucets. Still can’t get over the difference it made!

I struggled finding a way fill the wall space above the toilet for MONTHS. It was maddening for me! I didn’t want to do shelves above the toilet because I preferred them over the bathtub.

Thankfully, I came across some great tutorials for DIY propagation planters on Pinterest. I knew it would be the perfect solution for this odd corner. They were also quick and easy to make…even better!

This bathroom use to irk the fire out of me every time I entered. Today, it gives me a sense of peace and calm.

I’ve never enjoyed my bath time more!!!
